FLUI'DEVICE

Drag & Drop - Build - Validate

What is Flui'Device ?

FLUI’DEVICE is an online platform designed to assist in the design and validation of microfluidic structures. Its drag and drop approach allows to design in an instant complex structures and is only limited by the user’s imagination.

FLUI’DEVICE is not a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) platform. The results it provides are derived from a combination of analytical equations and correction factors sourced from scientific publications. Our team of experts at Eden Tech is constantly striving to enhance these models.

Start Using Flui'device

Flui’device is currently in beta. This means there is still a lot of room for improvement. This also means it is currently 100% free, and you get to help decide which functionalities and features our developers need to focus on!

You’ll discover that Flui’device is user-friendly, making it easy for everyone, even those without prior experience in microfluidics, to commence drawing. We also provide templates of commonly used designs to help you learn about microfluidics and guide you through the design process.

Drag & Drop

  • Select a Block from a list of standard Microfluidic geometries

  • Simply drag the block from the list onto the grid

  • Click the block to reveal the Editor

  • Edit and Resize by dragging or entering exact values

FAQ
Flui'Device uses classical analytical equations (e.g., Laplace, Hagen-Poseuille, Fick) to establish the Pressure and flow distribution inside the system.

These equations do not consider the turbulence inside the system and therefore stay valid (<5% error) at low Reynold numbers (The critical value varies with the geometry). Eden Tech's teams of experts are however working on applying correction factors to improve the models at higher values.
A lot of work has been performed in microfluidics in the last 60 years, and a lot of models and equations to create complex models are available. Flui'Device aims to exploit this data to provide calculators for reactant dilution/mixing, particle transport, droplet generation, and more!

But Flui'device is also an Engineering tool. By providing a wide range of blocks, complex geometries can be built on the platform. They can be exported as STL for use in traditional Computer Aided Design (CAD) software, and Modeling software.
Congratulations on your design! If you are interested in fabricating the device, you can export the blueprint as an STL file inside a Computer Aided Design (CAD) software or directly into a 3D printer software.

Flui'Device proposes a wide range of shapes, with rectangular, circular, and semicircular structures. These can then be printed onto a substrate for soft lithography.

There's a rumor going around that Eden Tech might soon provide a top-performing solution for turning your ideas into printed reality, surpassing all competition.
